About the Work
A cream cross holds four panes of heat. The paint is dragged, scraped and pressed rather than described, so the bare canvas keeps showing through — the way strong light does when it comes through a window and leaves the room in pieces. Nothing in it is named, and it does not need to be: the structure is a window, and everything behind it is summer.
